Edward Wolfe R.A.
Edward Wolfe, R.A. (29 May 1897 – 8 July 1982), was a British artist of South African origin, renowned for his vibrant use of color and association with the Bloomsbury Group. Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, Wolfe moved to England during World War I to pursue his artistic ambitions. He enrolled at the Regent Street Polytechnic and later attended the Slade School of Fine Art from 1916 to 1918. During his time at the Slade, Wolfe was introduced to Nina Hamnett and Roger Fry, leading to his involvement with the Omega Workshops—a design enterprise founded by members of the Bloomsbury Group.
